GEETHAS HOME TO HOME Turmeric Powder, Home Grown, 6.5% Curcumin, Natural Farming, 100% Single Variety Prathiba Turmeric, Free From Pesticides & Additives – 100 gm. Turmeric should be consumed with all its richness. So we use 100% home grown pure prathiba turmeric. Our specialities are: Cultivated in our own farms, No pesticides used, Harvested and processed inhouse, Natural farming practices & packed inhouse. Turmeric Cultivation :- Climate and Soil: Turmeric can be grown in diverse tropical conditions from sea level to 7500 m above sea level, at a temperature range of 20-35°C with an annual rainfall of 1500 mm or more. Preparation of Land: The land is prepared with the receipt of early monsoon showers. The soil is brought to a fine tilth by giving about four deep ploughings. Planting: In Kerala and other West Coast areas where the rainfall begins early, the crop can be planted during April-May with the receipt of pre-monsoon showers. Seeding: Farmyard manure (FYM) or compost @ 30-40 t/ha is applied by broadcasting and plowed at the time of preparation of land or as a basal dressing by spreading over the beds or in to the pits at the time of planting. Weeding: Weeding has to be done thrice at 60, 90 and 120 days after planting.Harvesting: The crop becomes ready for harvest in 225 days after planting. Processing: Curing involves boiling of fresh rhizomes in water and drying in the sun. The cooked fingers are dried in the sun spreading them in 5-7 cm thick layers on bamboo mats or drying floor. Smoothening and polishing the outer surface by manual or mechanical rubbing.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Store the product in a clean, Cool, Dry and odourless environment. Away from sunlight. Close the lid tightly after use
